Temporary STart at the site of the Capitol Hill Station, Oscillating Field, created by Dan Corson, is "a half-hour loop of moving, changing lighted tubes" It will be on display until (about) November 30, 2009. There are two lasers (powered by a generator) that project over the tubes. This is a long exposure--it looks much cooler in person. I had some video but proprietary formats mixed with corrupted files did not result in a happy ending, so you'll have to brave the cold and see it for yourself. The 8 streaks by in the background. You can almost make out what the sign says. |
