Description
Deutsch: Das Orangerieschloss , auch Neue Orangerie, ist ein Gebäude am Nordrand der Parkanlage Sanssouci in Potsdam, das zwischen 1851 und 1864 errichtet wurde. Nach dem Vorbild italienischer Villen der Renaissance, entstand die Orangerie nach Plänen Friedrich Wilhelm IV. von Preußen und den Architekten Ludwig Persius, Friedrich August Stüler und Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse.
English: The Orangery Palace, also called the New Orangery, is a building on the northern edge of Sanssouci Park in Potsdam (Germany). It was constructed between 1851 and 1864. Inspired by the villas of the Italian Renaissance, the Orangery was designed by the architects Ludwig Persius, Friedrich August Stüler, and Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse in accordance with original plans by Frederick William IV of Prussia.
