Address by Senior Wheat In Students Assembly, Feb. 17, 1919. Fellow BLUFFERS For were all bluffers so we might as well fessup. I wish to direct the sound sensible advice I am about to send overstraight toward the Sub-Freshman. First I want to say DONT go to picture shows. They have a tendency to demoralize your morals, so to speak (AHEM) even tho you DO go to see whether they are fit for the JUNIORS to attend. ANOTHER thing: DONT stay up late at night -except to study.-Remember what the illustrious Franklin said about going to bed early. ANOTHER thing. Imagine yourself to be hardheaded and get right down and study. DON T work for the ANSWER, WORK FORPRINCIPLE. ANOTHER thing: (And I know whereof Im speakinabout) Makefriends with your TEACHERS. Their friendship may come handy at thelast end of the term. AHEM. ANOTHER thing: Above all things respect the SENIORS, you may bea Senior yourself some day, and AS you SALUTE you will be SALUTED.I guess thats enuff. I thank you. Travels and Sight
