| Description |
English: Built in 1979-1982, this Modern International-style skyscraper was designed by Abramovitz, Harris and Kingsland to serve as the headquarters of the Owens-Illinois Glass Company. The building stands 32 stories and 411 feet (125 meters) tall, and has been the tallest building in Toledo since its completion. The building features a teal-tinted glass-clad exterior with chamfered corners, gridded mullions, and recessed entrance bays, with a low podium at the base, partially obscured underneath a plaza, a driveway, and planters. The building is a contributing structure in the Toledo Central Business District Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022. The building today houses various commercial office tenants, as well as its primary tenant, the local offices of Fifth Third Bank. As a result, is now known as the Fifth Third Center at One SeaGate. |
