| Description |
English: Marshall County Minnesota has more oak savanna soils than any other county in the state. Old Mill State Park, located within the county, may be a good test site for oak protection. Bur Oak Blight (BOB) has recently been found in Marshall County, and this state park has 9-10 areas of oak savanna soils; six of them have trees/woods. Schedule thinnings/harvests for December thru February, to prevent bur oak blight and other pests from killing oaks. |
