Map of the observable universe with the notable astronomical objects known today. Celestial bodies appear with enlarged size to appreciate their shape.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Logarithmic map of the observable universe with the notable astronomical objects known today. From left to right the celestial bodies are arranged according to their proximity to the Earth. In the left border Earth and near Earth objects are depicted. In the right border the most distant observed objects are depicted including GRBs, quasars, galaxies and the cosmic microwave background radiation. Celestial bodies appear with enlarged size to appreciate their shape.
