Le père de Léopold Double fut le célèbre mé-decin François-Joseph Double, de la Faculté deMontpellier, de lAcadémie de médecine de Paris etde lAcadémie des sciences; lequel refusa dêtrenommé pair de France plutôt que de renoncer àlexercice de la profession médicale.
