Description A lone McCain supporter talks to attendees to Barack Obama's speech on Unter den Linden in Berlin on Thursday July 24, 2008. Obama's campaign chose the location, in front of the Victory Column as the site for his speech to call for European countries to contribute to the United States' efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq. In addition he appealed to Berlin by recalling the historical partnership between Germany and the U.S., saying, "Berlin is where Germans and Americans learned to work together and trust each other."
