Description The pilot of a Vought OS2U Kingfisher floatplane unstraps his flight log from his leg, after returning from a flight to U.S. Navy battleship USS Missouri (BB-63). The airplane is on the catapult behind him. The photgraph was taken during Missouri's shakedown period in the summer of 1944.
