Summary[edit]

Description
English: A convoy of Routemaster buses, operating the 2009 Imber bus service, the once a year service connecting the abandoned village of Imber in Wiltshire, to the rest of the world. RML2665 (closest), RM25 (middle) & RML2344 (furthest away), are pictured here from the top deck of RML2735. They're all heading west with the last journey of the day from Tilshead to Warminster, pictured here on the leg between Gore Cross and Imber. The village of Imber was evacuated during World War II, and is now part of the Salisbury Plain army training estate - the hut on the left is the Gore Cross Gate, beyond which is the Imber ranges. See this image for a picture of the same convoy a little further on, approaching Imber.
