Description

The Northwest Computer Club News was published from 1976 to 1982 by the Northwest Computer Society of Seattle, Washington. The club initially met at the Pacific Science Center and moved to the Seattle University Library in January 1979. The early issues were 8.5 by 11 inch (215 by 280 mm) size and in April 1978 a larger format was adopted, 11.5 by 16.5 inch (290 by 420 mm). The newsletter was mailed to club members and sold at computer and electronics stores.

Bob Wallace was one of the founders of the Northwest Computer Society and became the ninth employee at Microsoft in 1978. Joe Felsenstein became a frequent contributor to the newsletter and very active in the club. His brother, Lee Felsenstein, was the moderator of the Homebrew Computer Club in Palo Alto, California.

This December 1977 issue was personally given to me by Bob Wallace, a clerk at the Retail Computer Store, in January 1978. Bob invited me to the club meetings and I attended for several years. -- Michael Holley w:en:User:Swtpc6800
