Many people are frolicking on the beach and in the surf. Some of them have umbrellas. The large bath house has two banners flying from its roof. Several American flags fly on flagpoles in front of the buildings abutting the beach. Legible signs include: "Bathing suits", "North Beach bath-house", "Curios", "Bowling pavilion", "Plunge and baths".
