Description

c/n 122-40993 Built in July 1945 with the US military serial 44-74453 but stored until transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force in November 1950 where she served as a Mustang IV with the seral 9597. She was sold off in 1959 and was US registered as N1335 until badly damaged in a landing accident on 17th March 1963. Rebuilt in the early 1980’s, she flew as ‘413903 / WD-L’ named “Glamorous Gal” until an undercarriage collapse in October 2011. Rebuilt to yet fly again, she has been based in Germany since March 2020 and wears a false 78th Fighter Group colour scheme. Seen on static display at the 2022 Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, UK
