Norsk bokmål: Hvalfangst ved Ellefsens hvalfangststasjon i Mjøfjord sør for Seydisfjord. Her haler man en finnhval opp for å flense den. En annen hval ligger lenger ut i fjorden. I bakgrunnen ligger det norske marineskipet «Frithjof» som var benyttet til havforskningsøyemål i juli 1910. Fra et havforskningstokt til de nordlige deler av Atlanterhavet og Island.
English: Whales by the Ellefsen's whale hunting station in Mjøfjord south of Seydisfjord. A fin whale is being hauled in to be flensed. Another whale is lying further out in the fjord. In the background the naval ship «Frithjof» which was used for marine research in July 1910. From a marine research cruise to the north part of the Atlantic and Iceland.
Deutsch: Walfang bei Ellefsens Walfangstation in Mjöfjord südlich von Seydisfjord. Hier wird ein Blauwal ans Land gezerrt um ihm die Haut und den Speck abzuziehen. Ein anderer Wal liegt weiter draussen im Fjord. Im Hintergrund liegt das norwegische Marineschiff ³Frithjof², das im Juli 1910 zu Meereserforschungszwecken in den nördlichen Atlantikteilen und bei Island, benutzt wurde.
Español: Caza de ballenas en la estación de caza Ellefsen en Miøfjord al sur de Seydisfjord. Aquí se levanta una ballena azul para desollarla. Otra ballena se ve fiordo adentro. Al fondo se ve el buque naval noruego «Frithjof» que fue utilizado como medidor para investigaciones marinas en julio de 1910. De una expedición científica al norte del Océano Atlántico e Islandia.

Een andere walvis ligt verderop in de fjord. Op de achtergrond het zeeschip ³Frithjof² dat gebruikt werd bij het zeeonderzoek in juli 1910. Foto van een onderzoeksreis naar het noordelijke deel van de Atlantische Oceaan en Ijsland.
