Summary[edit]
DescriptionNiger, Agadez, airport (07), Antonov An-2 from Bask Air.jpg |
English: Scene at Mano Dayak International Airport, Agadez, Niger. Two wrecked Antonov An-2R aircraft can be seen, both from Bask Air, a Bulgarian civil air company specialised in providing air emergency services and crop dusting. They lie here since 2006, when one of the aircraft (LZ-1118), was flipped over in a sandstorm and sustained substantial damage, damaging the other (LZ-1102) in the process. The aircraft had apparently not been adequately anchored. The accident cost Bask Air 2 of its 4 aircraft. The wrecks can be seen on Google Maps.
