Summary[edit]

Description

Green Car Sight-Seeing Service Broadway and 23rd St. Hotel Bartholdi New York City

The back of the photo says this is 1926 but this is much older. The Hotel Bartholdi was closed in 1912. The clothing also confirms the picture's age.

The Green Car company's logo was the swastika. At the time it was still recognized as a symbol of good fortune. It can be seen on the sleeve of the driver and very faintly on the side of the vehicle.

The bus or charabanc is a Lansden Electric. Lansden was located in Newark, New Jersey from 1906-1910.
