Summary

[edit]
Description
English: An overflowing 245-acre lake in the resort town of Lake Delton, Wis., which destroyed several homes and breached a local highway, is shown June 9, 2008. The lake, which was overflowing due to heavy rains in the Midwest, completely drained into the nearby Wisconsin River. The governor of Wisconsin declared a state of emergency due to the flooding and allowed Wisconsin's Adjutant General Army Brig. Gen. Don Dunbar to activate National Guard troops to assist in the relief effort. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Paul Gorman/Released)
