the kindness of the officers of the Charity Organi-zation Society the Maternity Hospital is allowed the privilege ofregistering the names of the District Physicians in their district 9 offices. We are indebted to this Society also for many othercourtesies at their offices, including the use of their telephone incases of emergency. The appointment of the permanent Head Nurse has improvedthe service greatly in two directions—the care of the patients hasbeen much more thorough and systematic than heretofore, andthe instruction of the pupil nurses has been carried on in a muchmore satisfactory manner. The thanks of the Medical Board are hereby extended to theBoard of Managers for their most efficient help in the develop-ment of this rapidly increasing work of the Hospital. Attentionis called to the fact, that the number of confinements for theyear is 260, an increase of 84 over last year. Respectfully submitted, E. E. Tull, M.D.,Secretary Medical Board.
