Description
Čeština: Nedvězí, městská čtvrť města Olomouce

Ikonografický význam navrženého znaku Nedvězí u Olomouce je následující: Heroldská figura tzv. hlavy štítu (tj. horní vodorovně oddělené červené části) se čtyřmi stříbrnými (tj. bílými) kužely (hroty) vychází z historického znaku olomouckého (arci)biskupství, šesti (4, 2) stříbrných (tj. bílých) kuželů v červeném štítě, neboť jeden takový kužel (hrot) byl již na staré vesnické pečeti Nedvězí v polovině 18. století. Svým trojhranným tvarem též evokuje atribut Nejsvětější Trojice, které je zasvěcena místní kaple.

Obecná figura černého medvěda ve skoku s červenou zbrojí (tj. jazykem a drápy) ve zlatém (tj. žlutém) poli štítu představuje klasické heraldické tzv. mluvící znamení, symbolizující název Nedvězí (tj. staročeské jméno ve významu „Medvědí“), ve smyslu známé latinské sentence „nomen omen“ (v překladu „jméno znamení“).
