Necrology of Aviators in 1911.
1911 January 09 — Edward Russijan killed at Belgrade.
February 06 — Lieutenant Stein, German military aviator, killed while making a flight at Doberitz (Flugplatz Döberitz).
February 09 — While testing a machine at Douxy, France, aviator Noel and one passenger were killed.
March 28 — Joseph Cei, killed at Paris.
April 14 — Lieutenant Byasaon of the French Navy was killed while making a flight at Chevrcuse, France.
April 18 — Captain Carrón of the French Army fell with his aeroplane at Versailles, France, and was killed.
April 20 — Pierre Louis, an aviator pupil, died from injuries received in a fall at w:Reims, France.
April 25 — William A. Bums of Chicago who fell with his biplane, March 5, died from his injuries.
May 01 — Captain Matyenitch was killed at Sebastopol.
May 06 — Rene Vallou, French aviator, fell from a great height in Shanghai, China, and was killed.
May 10 — Lieutenant Geo. E. M. Kelly. U. R. A., was killed while making a flight at San Antonio, Texas.
May 11 — Herr Bekemuller, an aviator pupil was killed in Berlin, where his aeroplane crashed against a building.
May 17 — A. V. Hardice, an amateur aviator, was killed while trying out an aeroplane at Los Angeles, California.
May 18 — Lieutenant Paul Duprta and Pierre Marie Bournique were killed at Rheims, France, when their monoplane fell 250 feet.
May 23 — Aviator Uemmlin, a Gorman aviator, fell 200 feet at Strasburg, Germany, and was instantly killed.
May 25 — Aviator Benson, killed at Hendon, England, while turning his aeroplane.
May 27 — A British aviator, named Smith, fell 125 feet at St. Petersburg, Russia, and was killed.
May 28 — Ciro Cirri, Italian aviator, fell 650 feet at Voghera, Italy.
June 04 — Senor Quelroz, who fell at San Pablo, was killed.
June 05 — M. Marcel Penot, French aviator, who fell while giving an exhibition at San Plego de los lîanox, Havana, died.
June 05 — Lieutenant Braguo, lost while attempting to fly over Mediterranean from Nice to Corsica.
June 08 — Signor Marra, an Italian aviator, fell from a height of 300 feet at Rome, and was killed.
June 09 — Herr Schendel, a German aviator, and his mechanic, who fell at Johannisthal, Germany, were both instantly killed.
June 11 — Vincenz Wilsenbach (actually Vincent Wiesenbach), killed by a fall of his monoplane at Wiener Neustadt, Austria.
June 18 — Captain Princetau, burned to death in mid-air through the ignition and explosion of his gasoline tank at Paris.
June 18 — Theodore Le Martin, who was dashed into a tree. In Paris, was instantly killed.

June 29 — Lieutenant Trochon was killed at Chalons Sur Marne, France, when his biplane fell.

July 21 — Mme. Denise Moore, the first woman victim of aviation was killed by a fall at Etampes, France.
July 23 — Aviator Joly was killed while making a flight at Jurisy (actually Juvisy), France.
July 25 — When the aeroplane piloted by M. Slusarenkos fell near St. Petersburg, M. Shimansky, his passenger was killed.
July 26 — Harry Rarnell, veteran balloonist, dropped 7,700 feet to death at Plainfleld, Illinois.
August 01 — Germal Napier, an English aviator, was killed while flying at Brooklands.
August 03 — Lieutenant Lomellina of the Italian Army fell at Milan, Italy, and was killed.
August 15 — William R. Badger of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania killed as he fell 100 feet at the 1911 Chicago International Aviation Meet.
August 15 — St. Croix Johnstone of Chicago killed when he fell 600 feet at the 1911 Chicago International Aviation Meet.
August 16 — T. Y. Artnay, a balloonist, felt 25 feet at Mount Vernon, Indiana, and was instantly killed.
August 18 — Theodore Ridge fell 100 feet at Aldershot, England, and was killed.
August 29 — Lieutenant Zolotnehin, a Russian military aviator, fell while making a flight in St. Petersburg, and was killed.
September 01 — John J. Frisble was killed when his aeroplane dashed 100 feet to earth at the Norton County fairgrounds, Norton, Kansas.
September 02 — Lieutenant de Grallly of the Eighth Cuirassiers. while making a flight from Troyes, France was burned to death In midair.
September 02 — Captain de Camine of the French Army, fell while flying In Nangls, France, and was killed.
September 02 — H. C. Brown, a young aeronaut of Michigan, fell with his parachute Into a lake in Charlotte, N. C, and was drowned.
September 02 — Louis E. Maron, a French aviator, fell near Chartres, France, and was killed.

September 09 — Raimund Eyrlng, a German aviator, fell while flying In the dark at Essllngen, Germany, and was killed.
September 12 — Lieutenant Chotard, an aviation pupil, fell 300 feet while making a flight at Villacoublay. France, and was killed.
September 16 — Edouard Nieuport, French aeronaut, died from injuries received when he fell with his machine at Verdun, France.
September 17 — Lieutenant R. A. Cammell of the British Aviation School at Farnborough, was killed while making a flight at Hendon, England.
September 19 — Louis Rosenbaum, an aviator, fell 600 feet while flying at the Clinton County Fair, at Dewitt, Iowa, and was instantly killed.
September 22 — "Dare Devil" Castellane, a Curtiss aviator, fell to death at the Mansfield, Pennsylvania fair.
September 22 — Frank H. Miller was burned to death in mid-air, while flying at the Troy, Ohio, county fair.
September 25 — Dr. C. B. Clarke, a novice, fell 200 feet at the Nassau Boulevard meet, and was killed.
September 29 — Captain Engelhardt, the pioneer German aviator, fell and was killed at Johannlsthal Field, Berlin.
October 03 — Cromwell Dixon, 19-year-old aviator, fell in his machine to his death in the interstate fair grounds, at Spokane, Washington.
October 05 — Captain John Broder, fell 700 feet from his balloon, at Tifton, Georgia, and was instantly killed.
October 14 — Aviator Level fell 250 feet at Rheims, France.
October 14 — Hans Schmidt was incinerated when his gasoline exploded while he was making a flight at Berne, Switzerland.[1]
October 19 — Eugene Ely, fell to his death at the State Fair Grounds, at Macon, Georgia.
October 21 — Aviator Tacks died from Injuries received while making a flight near Hamburg, Germany.
October 27 — Jean Desparmet, a French aviator, fell with his aeroplane at Rheims, France, and was killed.
October 31 — Professor J. J. Montgomery, educator of San Francisco, was killed while making a flight near Santa Clara, California.
November 10 — Samuel Hollar, while attempting; a parachute drop of 3,000 feet, at Guthrie, Oklahoma, fell and was killed.
November 15 — Herr Pletschker, a German aviator, fell while making a flight in Berlin, and was killed.
November 25 — Lieutenant Baron von Loringhoven was killed by the fall of his aeroplane, in Berlin.
November 26 — Signor Decroce, an aviation pupil, was killed in Turin, Italy while taking a lesson in flying.
December 02 — Todd Schriver fell from a height of 200 feet while making a flight over Ponce, Puerto Rico and was killed.
December 03 — Reeb, the German aviator, was killed by the fall of his machine, at Breltfust, in Rhenish Bavaria.
December 06 — Hubert Axley, an aviator, and Robert Weiss, a passenger, were both killed at Finley, England, when their monoplane fell 300 feet.
December 07 — Lieutenant Loder, of the French army, who fell with an aeroplane at St. Cyr, on May 6, last, died.
December 13 — Lieutenant Charles Lantheaume, was killed near Etampes, when his monoplane fell 1,500 feet.
