Description
English: Tamil culture has many cultural elements related to nature. One of the activities among them is keeping henna. Henna is a plant. The tender leaves of this plant and tamarind/betel leaves/lemon juice/water any of these are ground in the required quantity and applied on hands and feet by men and women at night for medicinal and beauty benefits. Mostly, women prefer it for beauty.
தமிழ்: தமிழர் பண்பாட்டில் இயற்கை மற்றும் இயற்கை தொடர்பான நிறைய பண்பாட்டு கூறுகள் காணப்படுகின்றன. அவற்றுள் ஒரு செயல்பாடு மருதாணி வைத்துக்கொள்ளுதல். மருதாணி என்பது ஒரு செடி வகை. இச்செடியின் இளம் இலைகள் மற்றும் புளி/வெற்றிலைக் காம்பு/கொட்டப் பாக்கு/சுண்ணாம்பு/எலுமிச்சை சாறு/ நீச்சுத் தண்ணி இவற்றில் ஏதேனும் ஒன்றைத் தேவையான அளவு சேர்த்து அரைத்து கைகள் மற்றும் கால்களில் ஆண்கள் மற்றும் பெண்கள் இரவு நேரங்களில் மருத்துவப் பயன் மற்றும் அழகுக்காக வைத்துக்கொள்கின்றனர். பெரும்பான்மையாக, பெண்கள் அழகுக்காக விரும்பி வைத்துக் கொள்கின்றனர்.
