Summary

[edit]
Description

Situated in central Edinburgh, Scotland this very popular museum was formed in 2006 with the merger of the new Museum of Scotland and the adjacent Royal Museum.

The Original building is a great example of Victorian architecture in itself, on several levels with a large and airy central hall which is overlooked by some of the galleries and a cafeteria.

In 2018 the museum was the most popular visitor attraction in all of Scotland, with more than 2 million visitors.
