| Description |
The National Museum of Scotland, in the capital city, Edinburgh, was formed in 2006 when two other museums merged. There is an old and a new part now. This is the "old" part and the architecture is clearly in Victorian style. This is the entrance hall and many galleries lead off it. People like to sit here for a little time to take in the surroundings. Some museums can be stuffy and boring but not here. Within both buildings there are exhibits that interest everyone, young and old, on a huge variety of subjects, old and new. I visited it several times when I was younger and it's good to see that now many tourists also have discovered this fascinating place. |
