English: Narrow gauge railway in front of the 'verbandgebouwtje', i.e. the Social and Spiritual Services Building (gebouw van de maatschappelijke en geestelijke dienst) at the Soesterberg airbase
Nederlands: Verband gebouw in 1911. Het gebouw van de maatschappelijke en geestelijke dienst deed vroeger dienst als verbandgebouw. De meeste van de gebouwen op de vliegbasis hebben de Tweede Wereldoorlog niet overleefd. Dat geldt echter voor alle vliegvelden in Nederland. Op de vliegbasis Soesterberg is uit de periode Verwey en Lugard dit karakteristieke 'verbandgebouwtje' bewaard gebleven, in sterk gewijzigde vorm weliswaar, maar nog wel herkenbaar. Het deels houten gebouwtje uit 1910 is het oudste luchtvaartgebouw van ons land. In 1950 is het grondig verbouwd door de KLU en tot de sluiting van vlb SSB heeft het gebouw dienst gedaan als leslokaal voor de OA Heli KMSL 133 SQN. De opleidingen voor de AS532 Cougar werden ook hier gegeven.
