Description
Italiano: Napoli, veduta di Posillipo, Mergellina e la Torretta dalla Riviera di Chiaia. In primo piano la distrutta Fontana di Medinacoeli. Gli archi erano decorati al centro da una lapide dedicata al viceré e ai lati da oculi contenenti due busti (presumibilmente i busti del viceré duca di Medinacoeli e del re Carlo II di Spagna); l’intera struttura era sormontata da tre stemmi (del re, del viceré e della città). Sulla lapide si legge chiaramente "Carolus II dei gratia rex...". Asta Sotheby’s a New York 28 gennaio 2016. Collezione privata.
