[edit]DescriptionNROL-108 Mission Patch.png |
English: National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) L-108 mission patch featuring a the One Ring and the Eye of Sauron from J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional Lord of the Rings universe. An inset yellow border displays text encircling the patch artwork which reads "One satellite to rule them all, one satellite to find them, one satellite to bring them all, and in space bind them" in parody of Tolkien's Ring Verse (it is typeset in Robert Pfeffer's Midjungards font that resembles Tolkien's Tengwar script which omits the letter 'c' that should appear in "space"). The black outer border reads "Keep it Secret - Keep it Safe - NRO - Space-X". This is the second Lord of the Rings themed patch following that of NROL-101 that immediately preceded this mission. |
