Description
English: During training week for the NEEMO 15 underwater exploration mission in October 2011, NASA engineers Andrew Abercromby and Steve Chappell configure the translation tool simulator, placing simulated anchoring and translation equipment across a simulated asteroid surface. One of the objectives of the NEEMO 15 mission was to simulate how astronauts might navigate across the surface of an asteroid. NASA photo in public domain.
