Summary[edit]

Description
English: Northbound US 17 and Eastbound US 92 as it approaches signs for Florida State Road 44 at the intersection with Howry Avenue in DeLand, Florida. North of this intersection US 17-92 enters the Downtown DeLand Historic District. Contrary to the signs, the actual intersection with SR 44 is two blocks north at New York Avenue, but since there are no turns allowed from that intersection, motorists seeking to get to SR 44 from here are required to take Howry Avenue instead. Westbound SR 44 traffic must turn north from Howry onto Florida Avenue, while eastbound SR 44 traffic must turn north onto Alabama Avenue.
