JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2018) The Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Thomas Hudner (DDG 116), is moored pier side onboard Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Fla. PCU Thomas Hudner (DDG 116) is the 66th Arleigh Burke-class destroyer and is named in honor of Capt. Thomas J. Hudner, Jr. Hudner is a Medal of Honor recipient from the Korean War. He witnessed the christening of the ship in April 2017 at Maine’s Bath Iron Works and died months later at age 93 in Massachusetts.
