Description
English: Aeronca Model 65TC Defender (reg# N33768) which was aloft above Oahu during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Now on display at Pacific Aviation Museum, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Attorney and future territorial legislator Roy A. Vitousek and his son Martin were caught in the middle of the Japanese attack force. The Aeronca, owned by Gambo Flying Service, suffered some bullet damage before it was able to land at John Rodgers Airport (now Honolulu International Airport) at around 8:10am.
