Description
Español: Menhires o Piedras Paradas. Estos especímenes son asignados a la Cultura Tafí, que se desarrolló en el centro de la actual provincia de Tucumán (Argentina)desde comienzos de la era Cristiana hasta cerca del año 600 d.c.Es una de las culturas agroalfareras más antiguas del noroesta argentino.En Tafí del Valle, la mayoría de estos monolitos estaban situados alrededor de un montículo artificial, quizas constituyendo un centro ceremonial.Algunos ejemplares son lisos y otros tienen esculpidas representaciones antropomorfas , zoomorfas o ambas.(Museo de la Plata.
