| Description |
One of the multi-purpose seating areas inside a Class 345 train. There of several of these areas - which are close to the passenger doors - spread throughout the train. These areas are intended for passengers with children in pushchairs / strollers / buggies or who are carrying parcels, etc. The three folding / tip-up seats can also be used by other passengers when not required by the special needs groups mentioned above. Passengers who use wheelchairs have their own special areas in a different part of the train. When photographed this train was being used on the local / 'all stations' TFL Rail service along the Great Eastern Main Line (GEML) between London Liverpool Street station and Shenfield stations. When construction works have been completed these trains will be used on the London Crossrail Elezabeth Line services. |
