Description

Part of the series Dios y Patria.

English: Dios y Patria (God and Nation) is a collection of photographs made entirely by Colombian artist and photographer Germán Gaviria Mesa in homage of the forces of the National Police of Colombia and in memory of our nation's military heroes who have given their lives to working to serve as policemen and women of our beloved Colombia. Gaviria blends traditional photographic technique with the art of portraiture to produce a startling collection of beautiful and unrivalled images that paint the values, honour, sacrifice and submission that members of the Colombian police force embody in their service to our nation.
