Summary[edit]

Description
English: just another fashion vignette from the Tacoma Times, done in the style of a "The Terrys of Togtown" piece.
  • Text: The Malin-Brown wedding reception on the night of the wedding was one of the prettiest affairs that has been given in Togtown for years. Mary Malin Brown certainly does know how to plan things. The rooms were all in green and pink. The parlor was decorated with tall palms, with masses of pink azaleas. In the hall were garlands of smilax. The dining room only was in white. Mrs. Terry's gown was one of the prettiest there and it was something particularly new. It was an accordion-plated chiffon. The bodice was pink shaded to a rose red. The whole was made over white and the falls about the shoulders and the short sleeves were of white chantilly lace. Graduated medallions of the same were set into the skirt and the chiffon plaiting was edged at the foot with a ruche of the rose red chiffon. The belt was rose red and the shoulder straps were the same color, and at her left shoulder she wore a cluster of rose red roses, the color of the foot of the gown. Her gloves were white. In her hair she wore a gauze, bespangled butterfly. Mrs. Theodore Terry never wears aigrettes in her hair or dead birds on her hats.
