Description Taken in 1941 by Dvr Tom Beazley. View is from the Kidron valley lookout to the east of the city (down from Stephen's Gate aka the 'lion's gate'. In the foreground is the Church of the Assumption (Mary's Tomb). To the left is the ancient olive grove thought to be the Garden of Gethsemane. Behind the church rises the Mount of Olives. The seven (gold) domed church at upper center is the Russian Orthodox Church of Saint Mary Magdalene, built 1885.
