Summary[edit]
DescriptionMount Stuart House horoscope room 2018-08-25.jpg |
English: The "horoscope room" in Mount Stuart House was originally a sitting room with attached first-floor conservatory. During the first world war, the house was a hospital, the conservatory used for an operating theatre (presumably for the good light) and this room became a pharmacy. Afterwards the room was neglected and not much used until around 1980 when redecorated as a bedroom. The animals on the bed posts (and top of the canopy) are Reynard the Fox (with psaltery), Grimbard the Badger with bagpipes and Noble the Lion wearing a nightcap.[1]
