Like a lot of British cars in the early 1950s, the Morris Oxford MO underwent a facelift that involved replacing a relatively fussy front grill with a grill of fewer very thick horizontal bars. This appears to have reflected a fashion trend in the USA. The car in the picture is a post facelift one.
Many cars from this period have had flashing indicator lights retrofitted. On this particular example, however, semaphore style trafficators can be spotted on the pillar between the door windows. This particular Morris Oxford MO looks unusually close to the way the car would have looked when new, around 1952
