Description
English: Morning at Outfitting Wharf, Belfast: Two jack-up rigs, 'Lisa-A' (left) and 'JB109' (centre) sit beside the decommissioned ferry 'Stena Discovery' at Outfitting Wharf in Belfast docks.
  • The jack-up rigs are currently involved in the construction of the Robin Rigg Wind Farm in the Solway Firth, but continue to spend more time idle in Belfast; the ferry is almost a permanent fixture here now.
  • Outfitting Wharf is located alongside the Belfast Dry Dock, but was constructed some 7 years later in 1975. It has a total lineal quayage of 433 metres.
