Español: Columnata conmemorativa de la ciudad de Quito, ubicada en la llamada Plaza Grande o Plaza de la Independencia, del Centro Histórico de la urbe.
Fue levantada en memoria de los próceres independentistas de la Revolución Quiteña del 10 de agosto de 1809, asesinados en las celdas del Real Cuartel por soldados españoles. Obra de los arquitectos Francisco y Lorenzo Durini, sobre una idea previa de Juan Bautista Minghetti. Inaugurada el 10 de agosto de 1909, durante la presidencia del Gral. Eloy Alfaro Delgado. |
