English: Monument to PC John Taylor at Kingsway, Stoke Location: Kingsway, Stoke
Date of installation: c.1986 Commissioned by: Staffordshire Police Authority John Taylor was fatally injured when pushed from a building while arresting a burglar. The John Taylor Memorial Committee was set up following the death of PC John Taylor who died on duty on 23 November 1986. They award a serving police officer or member of the Special Constabulary who has made an outstanding contribution to the community, performed an act of bravery, or a sporting achievement. |
