Вернув в годы «Войны-повторения» (1941-1944) Карельский перешеек, финны начали строительство оборонительной линии VT: Vammelsuo (Серово) –Taipale (Соловьево). Ключевым пунктом обороны стал холм в посёлке Kuuterselka (ныне Лебяжье). В годы царизма здесь находился популярный у жителей Петербурга дачный посёлок.14 июня 1944 здесь произошло кровопролитное сражение и финнам пришлось отступить. По взаимной договорённости в 2004 году ими был поставлен памятник с надписями на финском и русском языках, подвергнувшийся осквернению вандалами.
