Description

As the name says, it was Indonesia news agency office during 10 November war against NICA/British. The agency (Kantor Berita Indonesia) was opened at the onset of Indonesian independence declaration in August 1945 after Domei was forced to go out of business by Japanese military. It was merged with ANTARA.

The building was formerly a shop before expanded vertically and now occupied as Seiko/ALBA watch showroom.

Sesuai namanya, inilah Kantor Berita Indonesia saat perlawanan terhadap tentara Inggris yang diboncengi NICA. Kantor Berita Indonesia dibentuk pada hari-hari menyongsong kemerdekaan RI, setelah kantor berita Domei disegel tentara Jepang. Selanjutnya meleburkan diri dengan ANTARA.

Gedung ini disebut dibangun pada 1938 sebagai sebuah toko dan sekarang menjadi toko jam Seiko.
