St. Joseph's Church, Monaghan, County Monaghan, Ireland English: Three light window in the south wall of the nave of St. Joseph's Church, dedicated to Saint Joseph. Signed J. Clarke & Sons 33 NTH Frederick St Dublin at the bottom of the right light. The left light refers to Matthew 2:12–13 where an angel appears to Joseph in a dream, warning him to flee to Egypt. The centre light depicts Saint Joseph with Jesus as child at the top and the death of Joseph at the bottom. The right light shows the flight into Egypt. Inscription at the bottom: Pray for the late Patrick and Ms Nolan The Hill Monaghan. Patrick Nolan was the builder of this church. |
