Title |
Modern ring; joke finger ring for squirting water |
||
Description |
English: Modern ring; cast lead alloy joke finger ring of probable 20th century date. The ring is crudely cast with a broad band and a flattened area at the bezel. The bezel is quatrilobed with rough moulded decoration of lines and loops. The band has a hollow ridge running along the length of the centre of it which extends into a little knop at the back of the ring. This knop could be attached to a rubber bulb full of water which would be hidden in the palm of the hand. There is a tiny, pinprick hole in the bezel, at the end of the water channel such that, when squeezed, the bulb could shoot water out of the bezel of the ring into the face of a person who might be examining the ring!
Diameter 25.2mm, width of band 5.1mm, length of bezel 10.1mm, width of bezel 9.4mm, thickness 2.7mm, weight 5.11g |
