Title
Modern Toy Animal
Description
English: Lead alloy toy. Hollow cast figurine representing a mouse dressed in a long overcoat with an upturned collar, wearing boots, modelled standing in an anthropomorphic pose. The arms are represented as either under the coat or tucked into pockets, and the mouth is open as if in conversation. The tail is broken off short though it may continue as what might otherwise appear as the stub of a light loop projecting from the lower back. Extensive traces of [now] orange paint appear. The creature is not modelled on the creations of Beatrix Potter, though a similar date appears likely. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-1930.

Height: 35.6mm, Width: 18mm, Thickness (overall): 9.4mm, Weight: 10.74gms
