Title
Modern Pendant
Description
English: Lead alloy with copper 'gilding'. Pendant. Cast pendant in the form of an owl seated on a branch. This crudely modelled, outsized, though three dimensional rendition has an integrally cast suspension loop. It seems rather heavy to be worn comfortably. In all these respects this object resembles an outsize finger ring reported from the same site (NLM-C883F3); both objects may illustrate recent craft or theatrical activity. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-2000.

Height: 41.2mm, Width: 17.6mm, Thickness: 11.0mm, Weight: 47.24gms.

Depicted place (County of findspot) East Riding of Yorkshire
Date between 1900 and 2000
