Description |
English: Rectangular mirror (a) with original rectangular bevelled glass. Inner gilt molding carved with regularized floriation in low relief; shaped at upper corners. Wider conforming cyma and bead walnut molding outside. Cresting, with gilded ears of voluted leaf carving, is itself scrolled, voluted, and pierced at center to admit a round pierced gilded ornament. Shaped base has ears similar to above and bears a pair of engraved brass sockets which receive two scrolled candle brackets (b,c) with circular candle sockets and cups. |
