Festivale « Art Souterrain », édition 2020. Type : Photographie. Zone : Edifice Jacques-Parizeau Description de l'œuvre : « PAR LA NATURE ÉPHÉMÈRE ET ARTIFICIELLE DES FRONTIÈRES ET PAR L’INCAPACITÉ DE L’HUMANITÉ À VIVRE SANS ELLES. » Par un simple geste dans le paysage : •S’approprier 100 m2; •Tracer une frontière; •Habiter ce territoire pendant un jour. L’artiste crée une série de micronations absurdes qui nous invitent à réfléchir sur la nature de chaque frontière et sur le concept même de ce qu’est une nation. L’œuvre « République », dont la limite répond toujours au critère artificiel qu’est la géométrie, a une durée qui ne dépasse jamais 24 heures et dont le seul habitant est l’artiste lui-même. Cette série appartient à STUPID BORDERS, un ensemble de projets conceptuels qui remet en question l’idée de « nation » et qui met en évidence l’étrange sentiment de possession que l’Homme exerce envers la Terre. Commissaire : Art Souterrain Biographie – Rubén Martin De Lucas: Né à Madrid en 1977, en Espagne, Rubén Martin De Lucas est un ingénieur civil diplômé. C’est après l’obtention de son diplôme qu’il se consacre entièrement à l’art. Il est également l’un des cinq co-fondateurs de Boamistura, un collectif d’art urbain multidisciplinaire avec lequel il a travaillé dans le monde entier. En janvier 2015, il a commencé sa carrière solo en se concentrant sur « le paysage et les comportements associés ». Ses projets ont évolué, de la peinture vers des processus plus conceptuels. Son langage s’est élargi avec la photographie, la vidéo ainsi qu’avec les actions dans le paysage.
