Những thông tin này trùng khớp với lịch sử. Dựa vào những tài liệu đã sưu tầm được, chúng tôi ghi chép lại như sau: Năm 1949, lực lượng quân báo trong Mặt trận Hà nội đã có nhiều đóng góp đáng kể. Họ là những người “không mặc áo lính, hoạt động đơn tuyến độc lập, hoà mình vào cuộc sống của nhân dân, (…), lực lượng Quân báo mặt trận Hà Nội đã đóng góp nhiều thông tin quan trọng cho “đội quân ngầm”, vận động nhân dân bất hợp tác với địch. Cuối năm 1949, Bảo Đại “kinh lý” Bắc kỳ, đồng chí Phạm Lan tổ chức đặt VIV2 “bom bay” ở hồ Giám phía Văn Chương bắn vào phủ Toàn quyền địch, tiêu diệt một số tên ngự lâm quân. Súng cối của ta trên đê Kim Liên liên tục nhả đạn vào Nhà máy rượu, Nhà máy diêm nơi giặc đóng quân, làm Bảo Đại rất hoảng sợ, phải rút ngắn thởi gian kinh lý…. ” (8)

Thành Uỷ Hà Nội cũng có sự đóng góp trong việc phá cuộc đón tiếp Bảo Đại “Tháng 7 năm 1949 Pháp cho Vĩnh Thuỵ ra Hà Nội. Thảnh Uỷ lập tức mở cuộc đấu tranh chống bù nhìn tay sai:

-Phá phòng Thông tin Bờ hồ

-Đốt cổng chào vườn hoa Chí Linh

-Thả chim bồ câu mang cờ đỏ sao vàng

-Bắn vào sân bay Bạch Mai

Bảo Đại không dám ở lại mà đi ngay Đà Lạt.” (9).
