Summary[edit]

Description
English: The church and cemetery are part of the Midway Historic District in Midway, GA. The church was established in 1752 but the original building was destroyed during the Revolutionary War. The present building was built in 1792. During the Civil War the church was commandeered by Union troops and used as a abattoir. The cemetery was used as a corral for cattle. The cattle ate all of the wooden grave markers.
